2005 Guernsey

We were very grateful to be invited to spend a week with friends, Steve and Rosemary, at their timeshare apartment on Guernsey in early November. We’d never been to the Channel Islands before and were looking forward to exploring new territory with people who already knew their way around. It served a second very useful purpose in that it caused us to be away and miss that most dreadful of American imports, Halloween! We were back in time for the annual traditional Guy Fawkes firework bombardment on November 5th.

The weather was quite good for November though with a fair amount of wind which I suspect is a feature of the islands, up to force 8 on one day. Our main activities were coastal walks, cooking, eating and drinking (surely not). Here are some of our memories of Guernsey.
